1. SC to pronounce orders on farm laws, farmers' protests today

The Supreme Court is going to pronounce orders on the new farm laws and farmers' protests on January 12. The news comes following the apex court's hearing on Monday on the batch of petitions challenging the three farm laws and seeking the removal of agitating farmers who have camped at the borders of the national capital.

2. Modi to address valedictory function of 2nd National Youth Parliament Festival today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the valedictory function of the second National Youth Parliament Festival on 12 January at 10:30 AM via video conferencing. Three national winners of the Festival will also express their views during the event. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and Union MoS (I/C) for Youth Affairs & Sports will also be present on the occasion.

3. Vaccine transport from SII likely to start from today

With the COVID-19 vaccination drive in India set to roll out on January 16, the transportation of Covishield vaccine from the Serum Institute of India's facility in Pune in Maharashtra is likely to start from January 12.
