The Congress in Rajasthan has decided to launch an all-out agitation against the three contentious farm laws today. The state Congress leadership has directed all its MLAs to take part in the protest meet against the three farm laws and in support of ongoing farmers' agitation on Sunday.
2. Heavy snowfall predicted for Himachal Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh from today. The Shimla MeT Centre forecast rainfall in plains and low hills, and rain and snowfall in mid and high hills of the state from January 3 to 5 and on January 8.
3. Flybig, India's newest airline, to begin operations from today
The first week of 2021 will see the Indian aviation industry get its newest airline Flybig, which will begin operations on January 3. The inaugural flight will take off from Indore, the airline's base, at 2.30 in the afternoon to Ahmedabad. The total flying time will be an hour and five minutes.
4. Madhya Pradesh cabinet to be expanded for third time today
The Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh cabinet will be expanded today. This is the third expansion of the state cabinet after Chouhan took over as the chief minister for the fourth term in March 2020. The cabinet expansion is expected to take place around 12.30 pm on Sunday.
