Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually address farmers from Madhya Pradesh today. He will address the farmers at a 'Kisan Kalyan Sammelan'. The farmers' protest enters its 23rd day as they protest the implementation of three contentious farm laws by the Centre.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the 23rd edition of Minority Affairs Ministry's 'Hunar Haat' in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur on Friday through video conferencing. Hunar Haat, which is a platform for products made by traditional artisans and craftsmen, is being organised from December 18 to 27 at Numaish Ground, Panvadiya, Rampur.

5. Shivraj Chouhan government will put 1600 crore in the account of 35 lakh farmers
Insurance claims amounting to Rs 1,600 crore arising out of crop loss will be disbursed on today and deposited in bank accounts of 35 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh. The state government has decided to give a sum of Rs 4,000 to each farmer - in instalments - in addition to Rs 6,000 from the Centre given under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan).
