1. PM to attend Centennial Foundation Day celebration of University of Lucknow today
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the celebration of Centennial Foundation Day of University of Lucknow at 5:30 PM on Wednesday via video conferencing. The University was established in 1920.
Prime Minister will unveil the University’s Centennial Commemorative Coin on the occasion. He will also release a special Commemorative Postal Stamp issued by India Post and its Special Cover during the event. Union Defence Minister, Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh will also be present on the occasion.
2. President to inaugurate 2-day Speakers' Conference in Gujarat today
President Ramnath Kovind is scheduled to inaugurate the 80th All India Presiding Officers' Conference. The two-day conference will discuss matters related to the country's defence, security, and social and economic development.
The two-day 80th All India Presiding Officers Conference, aiming to facilitate a dialogue between presiding officers of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and other legislative bodies, will be held from Wednesday near the 'Statue of Unity' at Kevadiya in Gujarat's Narmada district.
The event, also known as the Speakers' Conference, will be inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind. Elaborate security arrangements are being made for the conference as President Ramnath Kovind, speakers of all the legislative assemblies of states, officials of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are going to be in attendance.
3. Gujarat: Vaccine committee to hold meeting with Bharat Biotech representatives today
The state vaccine committee will hold a meeting with Bharat Biotech representatives on Wednesday to discuss the study design, said a committee member.
The Covid-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech arrived in Ahmedabad on Tuesday for trials, after the ethics committee of Gujarat Medical Education & Research Society (GMERS) Sola in Ahmedabad cleared the process.
4. French envoy to meet UP CM Yogi Adityanath today
French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenain on Tuesday said that he will be meeting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the second day of his two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh wherein discussions will be held to promote new bilateral partnerships.
5. SC to hear pleas regarding the Central Vista project today
Supreme Court will hear today pleas which have raised issues regarding the Central Vista project, covering the 3-kilometre stretch from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate in Lutyens’ Delhi.
