1. ECI to host International Election Visitors Programme 2020 for Bihar polls
The Election Commission of India is organizing an International Virtual Election Visitors Programme 2020 (IEVP) for foreign Election Management Bodies (EMBs)/Organisations from 05-07 November, in the context of the ongoing Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections.

2. Cinemas to reopen in Maharashtra from today
The Maharashtra government on Wednesday permitted theatres including single-screen, multiplex and drama halls to reopen from Thursday, adding that they could function outside containment zones only. No eatables would be allowed inside cinema and drama halls. And detailed standard operating procedures would be issued by the state cultural affairs department, taking into account the guidelines by the ministry of information and broadcasting earlier.

3. Agitating farmers to block roads across country on Thursday
Farmers belonging to a large number of farmer organisations, including over 200 farmer groups affiliated to the All India Kisan Sangarsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), will block roads and hold demonstrations across the country on Thursday to protest against three recently-passed agricultural Acts and the proposed Electricity Amendment Act.

4. PM Narendra Modi to chair global investor roundtable on Thursday
To attract investment into the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday chair the Virtual Global Investor Roundtable (VGIR) 2020, which will be attended by the heads of 20 top institutional investors from various parts of the world. VGIR 2020 will focus on discussions around India's economic and investment outlook, structural reforms and the government's vision for making the country a USD 5-trillion economy.
