Hyderabad: A 22-year-old woman hailing from Nagarkurnool in Telangana was killed in a road accident in Sydney on December 31. The victim met with an accident while riding a two-wheeler in Australia.
The deceased, identified as Rakshita, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but the doctors declared her brain dead.
Rakshita was pursuing her higher studies in Australia and her father Venkat Reddy is a retired army officer. A pall of gloom descended on the deceased's parents when the news came to light.
The parents of the deceased who reside in Hyderabad have decided to donate their daughter's organs. Rakshita went to Australia last year in November for her education.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
