Hyderabad: Vinayaka Chaturthi festivities are celebrated in a grand manner in Hyderabad. The world-famous and largest Ganesh idol in Khairatabad found crowd thronging to offer pujas amidst vedic chants of pandits. People from all over Hyderabad are flocking to the place in large numbers.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sounder Rajan along with Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya offered their prayers to Ganesh idol at Khairatabad. Both the dignitaries were welcomed by Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav committee members. Even government officials along with devotees participated in the festivities. "Governor Tamilisai said that she is happy to offer prayers to Lord Ganesh at Khairatabad. She prayed for the well-being of people in the state," says committee official. Retired IAS officer Chiranjeevi, additional collector Venkateshwara, DIG Viswaprasad also offered prayers.
Later, Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav visited the famed spot and prayed for people's all-round happiness. He appreciated the Utsav committee for making fool-proof arrangements by adhering to Covid guidelines during the pandemic. He requested people to take all the precautions and urged them not to violate the Covid rules and regulations while offering prayers.
