Gandhinagar (Gujarat): The new Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, is likely to expand his cabinet today. According to sources, Patel can include 10 ministers in his cabinet. Many old and veteran faces may be dropped and some new faces are likely to get a place in the cabinet.
The party is trying to give proper representation to all the communities However, it is not yet clear who will get a place in the new cabinet and who will be dropped.
Bhupendra Patel was sworn in as the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday. Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office to Patel. Patel's name for the top post in the state was proposed by the outgoing chief minister Vijay Rupani.
No minister was sworn in during his oath-taking ceremony.
