Kashmiri teenager critical after stabbing in Punjab

19-year-old Danish Kumar from Kashmir's Anantnag district was stabbed by unidentified attackers in Punjab's Patiala district and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Patiala : A 19-year-old youngster from Anantnag district of south Kashmir was beaten up in Patiala district of Punjab. According to sources, two days ago, Danish Kumar was stabbed by miscreants with scissors, injuring him. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Danish Kumar hails from Duroo village of Anantnag District and works as a caterer in Punjab. Kotwali police have registered a case under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code for the attempt to murder.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh's media adviser Rowan Takhral tweeted that District Collector of Patiala had informed him that the injured youth Danish had been shifted to Rajendra Hospital and was undergoing treatment.

He said in another tweet that he had talked to senior superintendent of police (SSP) Patiala. The SSP assured him that a case was registered and the accused was arrested.
