New Delhi / Greater Noida: Ina major breakthrough, police have arrested a food delivery boy, along with two of his associates, for the murder of a kitchen operator in Greater Noida. Pistols, cartridges and a motorcycle have been recovered from the accused.
After a dispute over the delivery of a Swiggy order in Mitra Society under Beta-2 police station area of Greater Noida, the delivery boy of Swiggy, shot the kitchen operator and fled from the spot. The kitchen operator Sunil Aggarwal, died on way to the hospital following which police formed three teams to nab the accused.
After the incident, the police set up a check-point near the Mitra Society when three youths were seen coming on a bike. When the police tried to stop them, the bike rider started firing at the police while speeding away. The police then surrounded the miscreants and in retaliatory firing, one of them got shot and fell down. At the same time, his two associates fled from the spot. But police managed to catch both of them by combing the area.

The main accused who was shot in the leg is Vikas Chaudhary, a resident of Bulandshahr. The other two, Devendra and Sunil, are also residents of Anupshahr in Bulandshahr district. Greater Noida Additional DCP Vishal Pandey said that the accused said during interrogation that they live on rent in Swarn Nagari.
On the day of the incident, they had left for Sector 59. On the way, they saw some riders of Swiggy and Zomato standing near Mitra Society. They started asking the riders about food. Meanwhile, a Swiggy rider was having an argument with a worker of the restaurant. The trio, who were intoxicated, then went towards the restaurant worker and the Swiggy rider. Then a heated argument ensued between the worker and the Swiggy riders.
When the matter escalated, the worker called the owner who also got into an argument. The accused, under the influence of alcohol, then shot the kitchen operator. During interrogation, the miscreants confessed to their crime. The police are now gathering information about the criminal history of the miscreants.
