Muzaffarpur: Five men have been arrested on Friday in connection with the gang-rape of minor in Bihar's Muzaffarpur after police conducted multiple raids.
The station house officer of Sakra police has also come under the radar for allegedly showing dereliction on duty and filing a complaint three days after the crime happened. The officer had earlier stated that the victim was not gang-raped and she went with her male companion.
Sakra police said that two accused are students of Bachelor of Technology(B.Tech) of an engineering college in Bihar. A team of women police officers conducted multiple raids at hideouts of the suspects. The police team also visited the dilapidated house where the minor was gang-raped. A medical team also assisted the team of the police and all the evidence were collected by the authorities. Even the statement of the girl has been recorded in the court after conducting her medical examination.

The matter came to light when the victim and her father lodged a complaint about the matter.
The complaint stated that the victim was taken to a house situated near the petrol pump and was gang-raped by five men and they also tried killing her.
Later on, one of the accused was caught by the villagers and was handed over to the police.
Police had registered a case under Protection of children from the offences of sexual assault (POSCO) act
