New Delhi: A major fire broke out in a shoe-making factory located in the Narela Industrial area in Delhi on Saturday morning. The fire department was informed about the fire at around 9:30 am, after which 14 vehicles from the fire rescue team reached the spot.
After hours of effort, the fire was brought under control. Until it was put out, the fire had caused a massive loss of goods worth lakhs of rupees that were stored in the factory, although no casualties were reported. The exact damage has not been estimated yet but the sources confirm that a large number of stored goods have turned entirely into ashes during the fire.
The exact cause of the fire has not been unearthed yet, while the investigation into the accident is underway. The police are expressing the possibility of a short circuit, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
