Swaraj India leader Yogendra Yadav said, "We have decided to take out tractor march at four borders of Delhi including Eastern and Western peripheral on January 7. This will be a trailer for what lies ahead on January 26." 

He further said that from tomorrow, for 2 weeks, 'Desh Jagran Abhiyan' will be started & protests will be deepened throughout the country.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of favouring wealthy people over farmers.

In a Hindi tweet, Akhilesh Yadav said, "The biggest problem with the BJP government is that it does not consider itself as a public representative (jan pratinidhi) but as wealth representative (dhan pratinidhi).”

Farmers who are protesting at the at various borders across national capital from the last 40 days have started to build walls on Singhu border in order to construct room sin case the farmers' protest continues for long.

The wall is about 5 feet high and 100 feet long. The farmers said that they are preparing to construct the room in case the protests will take more time.

A large number of women from Punjab have been marching towards Delhi to protest against the Centre’s three agriculture laws.

The women moved in tractor-trolleys driven by young farmers and said that women of Punjab know how to plough the fields and drive tractors.

The government is saying that the youth of Punjab are intoxicated, the government should show a single proof.

The women also warned the government and said the government should withdraw these black laws or else on January 26, crores of farmers will march to the Red Fort.

Significantly, a large number of women from Punjab have reached the ticker border by driving a tractor.

Farmer dies after returning home from protests

A farmer from Roorkee village, who had returned from the protests due to ill health, died on Monday. Gurinder Singh, son of the late farmer Gurdarshan Singh, said his father was brought back home on January 3 due to ill-health. He had a heart attack after returning home.  

When the farmer was taken took to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.  

The chairman of Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Ekta, Sejit Singh Channa, shared his grief with the family, saying the martyrdom would be worth it. At the same time, he demanded that the entire debt of the aggrieved family be waived off and compensation of Rs 50 lakh and government job be given.

New Delhi: As the seventh round of meeting of the farmer leaders with the government remained inconclusive on Monday, the Kisan Congress threatened of more aggressive agitation in the coming days while the National Students of India (NSUI) started a 'cycle yatra' in support of agitating farmers from Jaipur to Delhi.

The government and the farmer leaders on Monday held talks at Vigyan Bhawan. The talks remained inconclusive and the next round of talks has been decided on January 8.

Speaking to media, Kisan Congress vice president Surendra Solanki said, "The seventh round of talks has failed today. And as the talks has failed once again we demand the repealing of these farm laws."

Solanki said that for the last 40 days our farmers have been fighting for their rights in the bitter cold on the borders of Delhi.

"So far 63 of our farmers have been martyred. This country will not forgive this government at any cost. We will take this movement to every district and village in the country," he said.

Meanwhile, the NSUI started a 'Kisan chatra cycle yatra' along with its President Neeraj Kundan.

They have started cycling from Jaipur to Delhi and are likely to reach Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur by Tuesday.

Speaking to media, Kundan said that our march is for the right of the farmers and we stand in solidarity and support to the ongoing farmer's movement against the farm laws.

"Our 'cycle yatra' is not just a message to the government, instead, it is specified to triumph Delhi," the NSUI chief said.
