ED moves Rajasthan HC for Robert Vadra's custodial interrogation

In another jolt to Robert Vadra, ED has approached Rajasthan High Court to seek the permission of his custodial interrogation. The case pertains to the petition filed by Skylight Hospitality Private Limited and middleman Mahesh Nagar.

Jodhpur: Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday moved the Rajasthan High Court seeking permission to question businessman Robert Vadra and Mukesh Nagar in custody regarding his Skylight Private Hospitality case. Vadra, son in law of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, is being probed by the central agency under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The matter will be heard in the court on Monday.

Senior counsel K.T.S is representing Vadra and Nagar and advocate Kuldeep Mathur is representing Skylight Hospitality Private Limited. The case pertains to the purchase of 275 bighas of land by Skylight Hospitality Private Limited in Bikaner''s Kolayat region which was registered by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in 2015 claiming that the land was meant for poor.

Earlier, Robert Vadra and Mukesh Nagar were granted bail by High Court. The court had pronounced interim stay on the arrest of Robert Vadra and his mother Morin Vadra.

Vadra and his mother are accused in the case along with partners in the Skylight Hospitality case.
