East Godavari (Andhra Pradesh): A class 10 student, Shiva was allegedly killed by an inebriated man. A clash between the father of the deceased, Shingam Yesu and drunk Veerababu at a pakoda stall ended up in the killing. The incident took place in Veeravaram village of Kirlampudi Mandal in East Godavari district.

It was reported that Veerababu ran an SUV over the pakoda stall, injuring Yesu and Shiva. As per the allegation, Veerababu hit the boy's head with an iron rod.

Shiva succumbed to injuries while he was undergoing treatment at Kakinada Hospital. The accused Veerababu was taken into police custody. Police were deployed in Veeravaram to control the situation.
