Drone seen at Indo-Pak Border Pathankot on Tuesday, alert sounded

BSF Jawans fired four to five rounds to knock out a Pakistani quadcopter flying at the height of 600 meters near Bamial sector along India-Pakistan Border.

Pathankot: In a bid to infiltrate Indian security cordon, Pakistan has once again sent its drone over India on Tuesday night. BSF noticed the drone between Jaitpur and Kanshi Barwa posts in the Bamial sector near India-Pakistan Border. Following which Jawans of 121 battalion fired four to five rounds to knock down the quadcopter flying at the height of 600 meters.

After the incident, security forces launched search operation in the area, however they have not recovered any suspicious material from the spot.

State police and security forces to keep searching those areas to stop infiltration from the neighboring country. SP Prabhjot Singh Virk said, "We keep on conducting search operations in collaboration with BSF to stop any wrongdoing in the border areas."

Similarly, DGP Punjab has also ordered strict checking at border districts of Pathankot, Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Gurdaspur etc. and to keep an eye on suspicious drone incidents in the areas.
