New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today is likely to hear a petition filed by Sushil Kumar's mother seeking, barring of media trials, setting of standard rules for reporting the criminal cases, and stopping sensational reporting against wrestler Sushil Kumar in view of the accused's rights.

Two-time Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar, is the prime accused, in the alleged murder case of a 23-year-old wrestler Sagar Dhankar.

Sushil Kumar, who was on the run for nearly three weeks, was arrested on May 23 from outer Delhi's Mundka area.

Sushil fled the city, as soon as he got to know about the wrestler Sagar Rana's death following the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl on May 4.

Two of Sushil's friend's Sonu and Amit Kumar were injured after they were allegedly assaulted by the Olympian and other wrestlers.

Several teams, including the Crime Branch and four teams of the Special cell, conducted raids in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Punjab to nab the accused.

The Delhi Police had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Sushil Kumar, who had since been on the run, was arrested on May 23.

Two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar faced another setback as Northern Railways announced his suspension from the service after the wrestler's alleged involvement in the Chhatrasal Stadium murder case.

Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar has been sent to six days in police custody. Meanwhile, the police is interrogating Sushil Kumar regarding the Sagar murder case.
