Srinagar: A CRPF personnel was injured after an unidentified militant hurled a grenade at a CRPF camp in Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.
CRPF spokesman Abhiram told ETV Bharat, "Militants hurled grenade at a camp of the CRPF's 132nd battalion in the Sanat Nagar area of the city, injuring a CRPF constable. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment."
"Srinagar is already on high-security alert in the wake of Independence day. However, the area has been cordoned off since the attack and a search operation is underway," he added.

Earlier on Friday, militants had targeted a security forces party in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, injuring a CRPF head constable and two civilians.
