COVID-19: India reports 41,195 new cases, 490 deaths

A single day rise of 41,195 COVID-19 infections, 490 fatalities pushed India's tally of cases to 3,20,77,706 and death toll to 4,29,669, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Thursday.

Hyderabad: A single day rise of 41,195 COVID-19 infections, 490 fatalities pushed India's tally of cases to 3,20,77,706 and death toll to 4,29,669, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Thursday. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 97.45 per cent, the ministry said.

The active caseload currently stands at 3,87,987. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, a total of 48,73,70,196 samples tested up to August 11, of which, 21,24,953 samples were tested on Wednesday.
