New Delhi: India saw a single-day rise of 22,431 new COVID-19 infections, taking the country's total tally of cases to 3,38,94,312, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday. The death toll climbed to 4,49,856 with 318 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the data updated at 8 am.
Of these, 12,616 cases and 134 deaths were recorded from Kerala alone.

The active cases are 2,44,198. As many as 3,32,00,258 people have recovered so far, the ministry said.
As many as 92.63 crore (92,63,68,608) jabs have been administered so far with 43,09,525 people being inoculated in the last 24 hours. A total of 57,04,77,338 samples have been collected for testing as of September 30, of which 15,20,899 samples were taken yesterday
