Bengaluru: The Congress is now a weak force and has been consistently failing to question the fascist forces, senior party leader and former union minister Dr. K. Rahman Khan said in an interview with ETV Bharat on Saturday.
"The Congress has governed the country for more than 50 years and given a lot to the country. However, is isn't as passionate as it used to be. It has not been able to challenge the fascist forces. Even today, the Congress stands by secularism, but the spirit of fighting against sectarian and fascist forces is missing," he said.

"The BJP has been committing blunders. However, the Congress has failed to question the saffron party," he said. Khan also said Muslims are being descriminated against in the party and that the community does not have representation coresponding to its population rate.
Earlier, the former minister for minority affairs had expressed his dissatisfaction about the Congress party in his autobiography, 'My Memories'. Khan opined that the Congress, at least now, should seriously undergo self assessment and and work firmly towards implementing the values of the Constitution as, according to him, the Congress is the only political alternative to challenge the BJP.
