Shimla: Himachal Congress' youth leader and MLA from Shimla Rural Vikramaditya Singh backed a social media post shared by Captain Amarinder Singh. The former Punjab CM on Monday had shared several images of Pak journo Aroosa Alam with several Indian politicians.
Captain took to FB saying, "I am posting a series of pictures of Mrs Aroosa Alam with various dignitaries. I suppose they are all also contacts of the ISI. Those who say so should think before speaking. Unfortunately, visas are banned at the moment between India and Pakistan. Otherwise, I would invite her again. Incidentally, I am going to be 80 in March and Mrs Alam 69 next year. Narrow-mindedness seems to be the order of the day."
Reacting to Captain's post, the legislator said that there was no need for Amarinder to issue a clarification over such small issues and disputes.
Navjot Kaur's subtle dig at Captain Amarinder
Amid the developments, Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu targeted former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh over Aroosa Alam. She claimed that no minister was appointed in the state without consulting Alam and even SHOs or SSPs were not seen without her consent.
Furthermore, she added that considering his age, former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh should turn to worship and enjoy the rest of his life with Aroosa Alam.
"We are not going to be affected by his party," Navjot said, alleging that under Captain's rule, Navjot Singh Sidhu's constituency was discriminated against, but now he will develop it.
Navjot Singh Sidhu will contest from Amritsar East, she added.
