New Delhi: A day after poll strategist Prashant Kishor made a statement against Congress, the grand old party hit out at him by saying that a "consultant" has no ideology and he needs to first decide what he is.
While replying to a question in a press conference on Friday, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said, "as much importance the consultant gives to himself, if you and I start considering him that much important, then these consultants will run the country."
Recently, a video clip of Prashant Kishor went viral where he was seen addressing a private meet in Goa, saying that BJP is not going anywhere for "many decades" and the problem with Rahul Gandhi is that he doesn't realize this. He also claimed that BJP would remain at the Centre of Indian politics for years to come, whether it wins or loses, just like it was for Congress in the first 40 years of independence.
"Did we ever say that we want BJP-free India? These consultants have no ideology. First, you decide if you are a consultant, a tactician, a trickster, a strategist, a member? What are you? Sometimes on this side of the table, sometimes on the other side. Clear your mind first, then give a speech," Khera said at the press conference.
On Thursday, Goa Congress in charge Dinesh Gundu Rao had slammed Kishor for his remarks, by tweeting, "Who said that BJP will not be there? In a democracy, all political parties will exist. It's only BJP that wants to end Congress and some like Mr Kishor dream that Congress will not exist. He doesn't realize that Congress too isn't going anywhere."
