New Delhi: Congress party condemned Taliban spokesperson's statement on raising voice for Muslims in Kashmir on Friday. Congress general secretary Tariq Anwar while speaking to ETV Bharat said that it is an internal matter of India and asked the Union Government to oppose the Taliban's stance.

Congress general secretary Tariq Anwar said, "They got it wrong. Kashmir is an integral part of India. Any other country does not have the right to comment anything on Kashmir."

Congress leader Rashid Alvi said, "I condemn this statement and I expect the same from the Government of India. Alas, government is speaking to Taliban." He further added, "It is an internal matter of our country. Kashmir is an integral part of our country and therefore the Taliban have no right to give such a statement. Thousands of people are getting killed in Afghanistan, the Taliban should be worried about that."

Further, Shaheen said, "As Muslims, it was the group's right to speak out for Muslims living in Kashmir and any other country.
