Army Chopper Crash: Critically injured pilots succumb to injuries

Two pilots were critically injured after Cheetah Helicopter of the Indian Army crash-landed in the Shiv Ghar Dhar area of J&K's Udhampur district on Tuesday. The ill-fated chopper was on a training sortie in the Patnitop area.

Udhampur (J&K): The pilots, who were critically injured during helicopter crash landing, succumbed to their injuries. The ill-fated Cheetah Helicopter of the Indian Army was on a training sortie in the Patnitop area when the accident happened.

Both the pilots were critically injured during the crash landing and evacuated to the nearest medical facility. The chopper crash-landed in the Shiv Ghar Dhar area of J&K's Udhampur district on Tuesday.

The two pilots have been identified as Major Rohit Kumar & Major Anuj Rajput.

The Northern Command of the Indian Army took to Twitter to condole the deaths of the two soldiers.

Earlier in the day, Suleman Choudhary, DIG, Udhampur Reasi Range, said, "We got information and dispatched a police team towards Shiv Garh Dhar. He added that due to excess fog in the said area it is yet to be ascertained whether the helicopter crashed or crashed landed."
