New Delhi: Congress National secretary and Bihar legislator Shakeel Ahmad Khan on Saturday said that development works in Bihar has come to a standstill due to the non-expansion of the cabinet.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Khan also took a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying that the CM is unable to discharge his duty properly as he is under pressure from the BJP.
"It is evident that there is a rift between the JD (U) and the BJP in Bihar. It's time that now Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should take some decision. The BJP made its speaker in the assembly and also occupied big ministries in the cabinet," he said.
The Congress leader further alleged that the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to demean the stature of Nitish Kumar.
Notably, it's been almost two months that Nitish Kumar formed the government in Bihar. However, there is still no clarity as to when Nitish Kumar will expand the cabinet to include more ministers.
Presently there are 14 ministers, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who are running the Bihar government despite a sanctioned strength of 36 ministers for the total of 243 MLAs.
