New Delhi: Hours after Hafizul Hussain Ansari took oath as the new cabinet minister of Jharkhand, BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash slammed Chief Minister Hemant Soren, saying he is afraid of the upcoming assembly bypoll in the state.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Praksh said that bypoll is yet to be held at Madhupur assembly seat but the CM has inducted Ansari as a minister well before that.
"Ansari is not a member of the assembly but the CM has made him the minister. By doing this, Soren has shown that he is nervous. He feels that his party's defeat in the Madhupur Assembly bypoll is certain," he said.
He further alleged that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ( JMM) promotes dynastic-politics as it consistently ignores common workers in the state.
"The Jharkhand government is proving to be a failure on every front. There is no development work in the state. Even by making Ansari a minister, the JMM will not be able to win the by-election," the BJP leader claimed.
Hafizul Hussain Ansari will be contesting the bypolls for Madhupur seat, dates for which will be announced shortly.
The seat fell vacant after the demise of his father Haji Hussain Ansari who had passed away on October 3, 2020.
