BJP leader slams Opposition, says Centre will continue to give free vaccines to states

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Gopal Krishna Agarwal on Wednesday slammed Opposition parties for making an unnecessary hue and cry over the COVID vaccine and said that the Centre will continue giving vaccine doses from its 50% quota to the states and UTs for free.

He said that the government is committed to the vaccination which is going on in a phased manner. The vaccination is being done in a phased manner across the world so does in our country.

"If a state needs more vaccines as per its requirement then it can also procure directly from manufacturers or else Centre will be giving from its 50 per cent of quota," he added.

Agarwal also alleged that earlier Opposition parties tried to mislead people by spreading lies about the vaccine which led to a lot of apprehensions among people.

"The Opposition parties should refrain from giving misinformation to the people at the time of crisis and help in making the government's vaccination programme successful," the BJP leader concluded.
