New Delhi: A day after the chaos in West Bengal's Nandigram during polling, a BJP delegation led by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday met the Election Commission officials and demanded action against West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and DMK chief MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin for violating the model code of conduct.

Alleging the TMC chief Mamata Banerjee for violating the model code of conduct, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said TMC is losing the West Bengal assembly elections and that is why they are trying to create disturbance in the poll-bound state.

"In the first two-phase of West Bengal elections, especially in Nandigram and Diamond Harbour, we have noticed political violence by the TMC. In Diamond Harbour, BJP candidate Dipak Haidar was beaten. West Bengal CM has violated the rules of Election Commission, we have registered against her and demanded against her," said Prakash Javadekar.

The BJP leader further said, "In Tamil Nadu, DMK chief MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin has made indecent remarks about Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj in his tweet. They died because of medical problems, everyone knows that and now this is being politicised. This is wrong. One cannot make false accusations during polls and so we have demanded action against him for violating the EC rules."

Javadekar said that Congress and TMC have started raising their voices against the EVM malfunctioning, they have found reasons for their defeat in assembly elections even before the results are out.

"When they win elections in Chhattisgarh and Punjab then the EVMs are good for them but when they lose the elections across the country then EVMs are bad for them. This shows the desperation of the Congress and TMC," said Prakash Javadekar.
