Kulgam: Suspected militants killed Javed Ahmad Dar, an activist of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after opening fire at him in Kulgam area of south Kashmir Tuesday afternoon. He was the constituency in-charge for Homshalibugh assembly segment.
The assailants fired upon Javeed Ahmad Dar near his residence in Brazloo Jageer area of the south Kashmir district at around 4.30 pm, they said.
Dar, according to reports, died on the spot.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and a hunt has been launched to nab the militants, they said.
