Jodhpur: Gram Panchayat elections are going on in Rajasthan and candidates are putting everything at stake for their victory in these Sarpanch elections.
Voting in Ransi village gram panchayat of Jodhpur district is to be held on January 29.
The election campaign is at its peak in this panchayat with around 6600 voters.
During the campaign on Saturday, Yusuf Pathan was invited by Sawai Singh, to campaign in his favour.
A large crowd gathered in the village to have a glimpse of Pathan.
Pathan also did a roadshow in favour of the candidate.
Samaj Singh is known for raising horses of Marwari breed. He gifted a horse for Yusuf Pathan's son.
When Yusuf Pathan reached the village, a crowd of youth gathered.
A large crowd also gathered outside Sawai Singh's office, to have a glimpse of the cricketer.
Addressing the crowd, Pathan said that it will be good to choose good people.
Pathan appealed to vote in favour of Sawai Singh, he stayed in the village for about 3 hours before returning back.
Sawai Singh said that Pathan is a good friend of him and that is why he accepted the request. Pathan is also fond of horses, he added.
Pathan was accompanied by his son, for whom Sawai Singh gifted a black horse of the Marwari breed.
