Youth hacked to death at Kayamkulam

A 25-year-old boy has been murdered by a gang outside a bar in Kayamkulam area of Kerala's Alappuzha district. One of the accused has been arrested and the police have intensified the search for other accused.

Alappuzha (Kerala): A youth was hacked to death by a gang in Kayamkulam area of Kerala's Alappuzha district.

The incident occurred just outside the Highway Palace bar around 12 pm on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Shameer Khan (25), a resident of Karilakulangara.

According to the police, tensions between drunken gangs led to the murder.

After the incident, the police recovered the car of the accused from Kilimanoor, in Trivandrum district.

One of the accused has been arrested and the police have intensified the search for other accused.

However, police have not revealed the names of the accused yet.
