Thiruvananthapuram: Protest against Minister KT Jaleel took another turn today as BJP and Congress strengthened their agitation. Youth Congress and Youth Front marched in front of the secretariat.O Rajagopal, MLA inaugurated the Youth Front march at 11 am. Last day, the protest ended up in clashes, repeating today also.
Opposition unions have clarified that they will continue the agitation till the Minister resigns. Protests were also reported in district administrative centres. Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, was of the stance in spite of ED probe Minister should not resign.CM had also criticised the protests against the Minister.
Enforcement Directorate gave a clean chit to K T Jaleel in his involvement in gold smuggling case as the acquisition of his unwarrented wealth in relation with the Minister could not be found out. Moreover, the ED did not find any fault with his statement during the inquiry.Mullapally Ramachandran, president of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee expressed dissatisfaction over the clean chit.

Prolonged protests are being organized in Kerala since the Minister got alleged with FCRA violations. Jaleel had appeared before the ED on Friday at Kochi in connection with alleged FCRA violation in accepting consignments of the Holy Quran brought from UAE through diplomatic channel and his statement was recorded.
Yuva Morcha activists Pravin and Vipin Raj were arrested on September 13 night for allegedly driving a car into the convoy of minister KT Jaleel on the National Highway in Paripally in Kollam district.
Days after his appearance before the agency kicked up a storm in Kerala, Jaleel had said that he was not prepared to reveal anything to those who were fabricating lies and spreading them.
