Kannauj: A young man in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj was allegedly beaten up by SP leaders for causing ruckus at the party office.
The man who created a commotion during a women's conference at the party office in-front of the party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday was beaten up by the SP members who dubbed him as a BJP worker.
The youth, identified as one Govind Kumar Shukla, questioned Akhilesh Yadav over unemployment, following which the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister quipped if he was a BJP worker.
In response, the youth chanted 'Jai Shri Ram', in the wake of which he was pounced upon by SP workers.
Police present at the spot reportedly took Shukla away after the incident.
Akhilesh, who was on the stage, asked the police to intervene.
Continuing with his address, Yadav took potshots at the BJP. "I have been getting messages and calls from BJP leader, who has threatened to kill me," Yadav said during his address.
The former UP CM went on to pull up Talgram Inspector Raja Dinesh Singh at the spot, questioning him how the youth could have been allowed without proper identification check.
He said while motivating his workers that there were only 780 days left for assembly polls to get prepared. Giving an example of an incident of a medical student in Meerut, he attacked the government and also targeted the BJP over the Pulwama attack.
Training will be given to new workers. Hang calendar at home and cut a date every day. Change this government and now the government of socialists is about to come, the public knows that it is not going to work, he added.
