Belagavi: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has launched a scathing attack on the Yogi-Adityanath government over the Hathras incident by asking him 'Are you Yogi or Rogi'?
Condemning the gang-rape and murder of a 19-year old Dalit woman, the leader of opposition told reporters, "Uttar Pradesh government has failed to maintain law and order in the state. Our leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi tried visiting the victim's family to offer condolences but they were stopped by the police at the behest of the Yogi government. Police even lathi-charged them. Is our country a democratic country or a Hitler country?"
Maintaining the party's stand that CM Yogi should resign from his post, the Leader of the Opposition said, "Yogi Adityanath should not continue as the Chief Minister of the state. Women and girls in Uttar Pradesh are not safe. I don't know whether he is 'Yogi' or 'Rogi'. India's rich culture, values and traditions have been destroyed by the Yogi government and he is unfit to be the CM of UP after such heinous crime."

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee(KPCC) President, D.K.Shivakumar also came down heavily upon the BJP govt and said, "Yogi government has brought a black dot to the country's honour, self-esteem and to humanity. It is sad and disappointing to see that the state govt is doing nothing to provide justice to the victim's family."
The Yogi govt has been facing huge on-slaught from the various opposition parties n which the UP Police handled the case of alleged gangrape and assault of a 19-year-old Dalit girl by four upper-caste men in Hathras and cremated her body without the family's consent.
The Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have demanded Yogi Adityanth's resignation, while others have condemned the treatment meted out to Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi by the police on Thursday when they were trying to travel to Hathras to meet the victim's family.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had also condemned the how Rahul Gandhi was manhandled by the UP police and termed it as 'gang-rape of democracy'.
