He also slammed the state government for increasing crime against women in the state.

"Every day, the law and order situation in the state has record a new height of registering a case against women. Almost 164 complaints have been lodged every day against women in the state but the government is busy in political rallies", said Lallu.

When asked about his recent detention during Hathras incident, he said that the government has failed to maintain law and order. As they failed, they used to blame opposition parties and tries to suppress the voice.

Taking a jibe at the regular detention, he said it is the beauty of politics. "Those politicians who went to jails in regular interval of time, show their immense contribution and popularity in the field of politics", added Lallu.

Lallu, who came here for an election rally said that the government has failed to address the issue of unemployment and farmer suicide in the state.

"Today, no one is happy with this government. On one side, the government failed in providing employment in the state while on the other hand, they failed to provide compensation to the sugarcane farmers", Lallu said adding if his government comes to power, they would provide compensation to the farmers, within days of forming the government.
