Jaipur: The Congress government in Rajasthan has decided to include the story of “Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s bravery” in the state school syllabus. State Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara, while fulfilling his promise, introduced the Wing commander Abhinandan's story of bravery in the 9th class social science textbook. Simultaneously, Digendra Singh's story of bravery has also been added.
In order to take revenge for the 40 soldiers of the martyr in the Pulwama attack, the Indian Air Force took immediate action and attacked the terrorist bases in Balakot on February 25, 2019, under Pakistani territory.
Abhinandan emerged as a hero after he shot down an F-16 before his MiG 21 was downed and he was captured by the Pakistan army. He spent almost 60 hours in Pakistani custody and returned home on March 1 through the Wagah-Attari border at about 9:20 PM.
In the course, there is no mention of airstrikes anywhere. Nor has it been told how many terrorists were killed in this air strikes by Indian Air Force. The reason for this can also be assumed that the Congress has consistently raised questions about air strikes and, at the same time, have also said that this kind of air strike has done by UPA government many times. The course has named the air strike as a quick response to the Pulwama terror attack.
The previous government had decided to include a chapter for demonetization and GST, but the present government has denied this. Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara said that the demonetization was a failure. There is no justification for teaching this to the student.
At the same time, the bravery of Nimkathana's Digendra Singh has also been added. Digendra Singh killed 48 Pakistanis in the Kargil war and was awarded the Mahavir Chakra on 15 August 1999, for his acts of bravery in the Kargil War.
