New Delhi: From burning the body of the victim overnight in the Hathras rape case to stopping and getting Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi arrested on Thursday the Yogi Adityanath government and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has maintained an eerie silence on the whole issue.
According to sources, all the official spokespersons of the BJP have been advised not to talk to the media on the issue and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has remained silent on the events following the Hathras incident.
With all the efforts from the government banning things, maybe the government did not speculate that the matter would catch the political footing.
Meanwhile, Congress is alleging that the state government wants to run politics with the help of violence. Not only this, but the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is also being questioned about the Romeo Squad that he always used to talk about.
"Where was Anti Romeo Squad when such incidents were happening and why has the state government not taken any action following the incident," Congress asked.

Even though the state government and BJP have remained tight-lipped, the pressure seems to be mounting from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parties.
At the same time, the opposition parties unitedly are demanding the resignation of the Yogi government on this matter and questioning the law and order of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, the BJP national officials and spokespersons have also been advised to remain silent.
ETV Bharat tried talking to many spokespersons but all refused to speak on the Hathras issue.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to him on Wednesday on the Hathras issue and said the strongest action should be taken against the culprits.
The CM also said that the matter will be investigated by a special investigation team (SIT) which will involve Dalit and women officers. The Uttar Pradesh government also directed the matter to be bought to a fast track court.
The four accused have also been taken under police custody.
Despite this, politics has once again become hot in Uttar Pradesh with the law and order of the state being questioned directly.

The situation has set the government and the BJP at the Center to get in damage control mode.
Reassuring that swift action will be taken, BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijay on Wednesday said, "Yogi ji, who is the chief minister in UP will take necessary action. I know that in his state, anytime even if a vehicle overturns, the accused have been arrested."
According to sources, after this statement, there was a lot of ruckus in the party after which the leaders of the party were asked not to make any rhetoric on this issue.
