New Delhi: The Congress has no suggestion to offer on the COVID-19 crisis and is merely interested in doing 'ugly politics' on it, the BJP said on Tuesday, while asserting the entire nation except the opposition party understands that the Narendra Modi government has extended the lockdown to save people's lives.
BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain accused the Congress of raising 'irrelevant questions' over the issue of the pandemic.
The saffron party's spokesperson took to Twitter and said, "When all the citizens of our country stand firmly with PM Modi in the fight against COVID-19, Congress leader Rahul Gandi indulge themselves in 'dirty politics'.

"The Congress has no suggestion to offer and merely wants to do politics on coronavirus. It is doing ugly politics on the issue. The lockdown has been extended to save the lives of people. The entire country understands it, except the Congress," he said.
Hussain further asked a series of questions to the Congress leader about their contribution in tackling the corona pandemic.
"How many food packets have been distributed by the Congress leaders? Have they provided ration to any poor family?", Hussain asked Rahul Gandhi via twitter handle.
Taking a dig to the Congress party for taking suggestion from the Nobel laureate Dr Abhijit Banerjee, he asserted that during the UPA regime, none of the Congress leaders was seen taking any advice from economists and now they are inviting Nobel laureate in their party conference in order to deviate the country.
