Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu): In a bizarre incident, a thief ate fish curry and then slept at the terrace of the house after he found nothing worthy of stealing in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari district, later to be nabbed as his loud snoring gave away his presence.
The incident came into notice after the family member heard an unusual sound originating from the terrace.
After heeding the sound, they reached the terrace and found an unidentified person was sleeping there. Subsequently, the family members informed the local police.
After interrogating the person, he revealed that he found nothing worthy of stealing in the house. As he was feeling hungry, he ate the fish curry which was stored in the refrigerator and then decided to take a nap on the terrace.
"The man is identified as Satish, a resident of Kerala's Nedumkadu in Thiruvananthapuram district. After having food, he was feeling tired and decided to sleep on the terrace. We caught him after getting a call from the house owner", said a police official.
After checking the CCTV footages of the area, the police discovered that he was involved in the several cases of robbery in the area.
He was also facing several charges of murder in Kerala.
