"We don't have any credible facts"- SC On West Bengal political killing

Adjourning the plea on West Bengal's political killing, Supreme Court has said that they don't have credible facts. Advocate Gaurav Bhatia, who is appearing for the petitioner has said that there was no FIR for 18 days and no post-mortem report was given to them.

Kolkata (West Bengal): The Supreme Court bench comprising of CJI SA Bobde, Justice Surya Kant and Justice BR Gavai adjourned the petition seeking CBI investigation into West Bengal political killing to be heard after the Sabarimala reference matter. CJI wanted to dispose off the matter but on insistence of the petitioner, brother of a deceased, agreed to hear it after the Sabrimala case.

Advocate Gaurav Bhatia, who is appearing for the petitioner said that the might of the state(TMC government) will be against them.

"The brother of the deceased is asking for CBI enquiry", said Bhatia.

He further said that there was no FIR for 18 days and no post mortem report was given to them. Even no arrest was made and within one day closure report was filed.

"We understand the problem. We are saying that we don't have any credible facts", replied CJI.

The court ordered for the case to be transferred to CBI and will hear the matter after Sabarimala.
