Malappuram: Mothers can go to any extent to fulfil their children’s wishes. Hajara, an unassuming mother from Achanambalam area in the small town of Vengara in Malappuram District, Kerala, has almost become a football trainer for her son.
She has donned the role of a football trainer as her son Sahad’s football training and practice sessions have come to a stop with the COVID lockdown. Even amid financial difficulties, Hajara is not willing to give up on her son’s passion for football and his training.
Hajara kicks the ball and keeps the ball moving towards the goal, literally and figuratively.
A video with Hajara and her son Sahad in one of their practice sessions, with her making a few good passes and headers with the ball, has gone viral over the social media platforms.
In the video, Hajara and Sahad are in a ‘mutual training’ session on top of their rented house’s terrace.
Sahad, a Plus Two student, is a member of the Soccer Line Club in Kochi. Learning his baby steps from a football club in his little village, Sahad’s goal is to play football for the Indian Team.
