Jodhpur: In a video going viral on social media, a 40-year-old man in an inebriated condition can be seen beating up two police constables in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan as they try to catch hold of him. One of the police personnel can also be seen kneeling on the neck of the drunk man identified as Mukesh Kumar.
The incident, reportedly, took place on Thursday in Devnagar area when the two cops spotted Kumar roaming around without a mask amid the coronavirus disease outbreak and issued a challan.
Angry over the action, Kumar started landing blows and punches on the police personnel from who struggled to control him.
"A man got into a fight with two police personnel from Pratap Nagar police station. He broke their nameplates and even tore their uniform," said Somkaran, Station-In-charge, Devnagar Police Station.

Kumar was finally brought under control and was taken to the Devnagar Police Station where he was charged with assaulting a public servant thereby deterring him/her from discharging his/her duty under Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code, apart from other sections.
