Andhra Pradesh: The engine of Visakha Express, a train that plies between Bhubaneshwar to Secunderabad, got detached from its coaches between Narsipatnam and Tuni railway stations on Monday.
According to sources from Vijayawada railway division, the incident occurred in the evening when the Secunderabad-bound train was heading towards Vijayawada, when the coupling loosened from the holder resulting in the detachment.
Luckily, passengers who understood the situation (from seeing through the window) pulled down the chain and stopped the bogies.
Officials are uncertain as to what caused the link to loosen up and said that either it has to be tampered with or might have caused when the engine left from its previous station.
