Varanasi to get two museums in Kashi Vishwanath corridor

In a big boost to tourism, Varanasi will be getting two museums in Kashi Vishwanath corridor. One museum will showcase art and culture of Banaras and the other one will describe the obstacles faced in the construction of Kashi Vishwanath corridor.

Varanasi: The holy city of Varanasi is all set to receive two magnificent museums which can be seen as a game-changer for the tourism sector. While one museum will give a wholesome experience of the rich culture, tradition, spirituality of Banaras, the other one will describe the obstacles faced in the construction of Kashi Vishwanath corridor.

Construction work to complete the ambitious Kashi Vishwanath corridor project is in progress on war footing. The museums which will be built in Kashi Vishwanath corridor will take visitors on a trip that will uncover the story of the artefacts and temples.

Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agarwal said, "Kashi Vishwanath corridor to be built in Banaras holds a significant value for the entire world. One of the museums will showcase the art and culture of Banaras."

He added, "The first museum will be showing the rich cultural heritage and traditional values like food, music and art along with the information of big artisans. The other museum will show the hurdles and all the related information about the construction of Kashi Vishwanath corridor. Everything will be shown in an audio-video format with a high resolution of pictures.

Agarwal said that all the important documents used for the construction of the museums will be kept inside it. Locks and keys of the houses demolished for the construction of the corridor will also be kept in the museums.

"The gorgeous Ganges and the serene view of the Kashi–Vishwanath corridor will be a major part too," he added.
