Varanasi: CRPF is working on front-line to fight the invisible and invasive enemy

The brave soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are working tirelessly to help needy and to contain the COVID-19. Here is the ETV Bharat's report from PM Modi's constituency Varanasi where we interacted with some CRPF officials about difficulties faced by them while serving people here.

Varanasi: The Coronavirus pandemic has claimed thousands of lives, shaken the world but it has, however, failed to crush the indomitable spirit of these brave soldiers of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who have been working in conditions of extreme risk, to keep the rest of us safe.

In Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi, the soldiers of CRPF have been distributing food and other essential items among the needy and disinfecting various localities of the city.

The brave few who have been at the front-lines of the outbreak include doctors, nurses and health workers knows how much risk they are taking in the time of deadly virus.

When ETV Bharat interacted with some of these officials to know about their working condition and the problems they are facing, one of them said, "we know that it is a risky job to distribute ration and came into contact with people but we try to maintain social distancing. We are also concerned about our families as we are not with them but through phone, we talk to them regularly and keep them informed about over situation so that they don't worry for us."

Another official said, " we are always ready to serve the nation whether it is a war or pandemic. In war, we have guns to protect the country from terrorists and during the pandemic, we have sensitisers and other essentials goods to provide people so that they can feel safe.

CRPF inspector Rajiv Kumar said, "Since the training, it is taught that every soldier has to serve the nation keeping their lives at risk. The training makes them fully ready to meet any eventuality while serving the nation."

He said that the families of CRPF soldiers know about their conditions and get used to the fact that their dear ones have to face great risks while serving the nation. The only thing that their family members want is for them to remain safe wherever they are posted.
