Etawa: Three people were detained after an elderly woman was killed during a clash between two groups over a property dispute in Uttar Pradesh's Etawa on Wednesday night. The two children of the deceased were severely injured during the clash and were rushed to the district hospital.
According to the cops, families were at loggerheads over sharing of the family land for past several years. The two families got into an argument again on Wednesday which took a serious turn. After the heated argument, the woman went to the police station for filing a complaint where she was brutally attacked by her family members.
"When we were returning from Basrehar police station, family members surrounded us and started beating us in a gruesome manner. My mother was attacked and she suffered serious injuries after which she died," said Anuj, who was severely injured.

Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh said, "The family was engaged in the land dispute for past several years. Three accused have been nabbed in this regard. Woman, along with her children were lying in an unconscious manner which our cops noticed. They swung into action and rushed them to the hospital but the woman was dead before she could be taken for emergency care. We are investigating the matter and a case has been registered."
