New Delhi: The Union Cabinet will meet on Wednesday, and is expected to take certain key decisions.
The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister's residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.
The Union Cabinet had last met on July 8, when it approved the proposal to extend the scheme for payment of the employer and employee's PF contribution for three months until August.
The Cabinet also approved the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for further five months under which 203 lakh tons of grain will be distributed among 81 crore people.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had in May announced the extension of the scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana for three months till August, where the government would contribute entire 24 per cent of PF contributions till August, giving relief to 3.67 lakh employers and 72.22 lakh employees.
It had also approved the development of affordable rental housing complexes (AHRCs) for urban migrants or poor as a sub-scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY).
