Udupi boy develops low cost drones with raw materials

Glen Rebello has developed a low-cost robot from assembled parts from other electric devices which can be used for drone racing. His first drone race was held in Manipal. He invented the drone carrying of upto10kgs weight with a very low cost. Glen wants to join Aerospace after completing his graduation in engineering.

Udupi (Karnataka): A young boy who is just 18-year-old hailing from Udupi district has invented a drone by using raw materials and has already made more than 20 drones at low cost.

Glen Rebello who is studying in PUC has developed a drone with assembled parts from other electric devices. Glen’s fascination for flying started with his interest in the aeroplanes flying in the sky and later seeing the drones utilized for filming weddings. Fascination turned into reality when Glen finally developed his own Drone.

Glen did not limit his drone visual world whereas, he introduced himself to the world of drone racing. His first drone race was held in Manipal. He invented the drone carrying of upto10kgs weight with a very low cost.

People from Udupi, Mangalore and Mumbai are interested to buy these drones. Usually, the drones were available in the market at the price of around 2 Lakhs but the drones developed by the Glen will be available at the rate of 30-40 thousand.

The operating skills of Glen were noticed by Indian Army officials after which he was invited to shoot the drone at the Sail India 2019 event which was held in Mumbai.

Glen can also repair these drones as he now helps to repair drones for all the operators in the city. He wants to join Aerospace after completing his graduation in engineering.
