Udaipur: A man, his wife and four children were found dead in Udaipur's Rubiya village under Kherwara police station limits on Friday. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man, identified as Ranjeet Meena, reportedly killed his wife and children before hanging himself.
Police said that the man was under huge debt and the couple had an altercation the previous night. Initial investigations suggest that during the argument, Ranjeet, in a fit of rage attacked his wife and children with a sharp object and later hanged himself.
Ranjeet's body was found hanging from a tree in a field and bodies of his wife and children were found inside the house. Locals raised an alarm when they saw Ranjeet hanging from a tree and when they went to his house to inform his family, they were shocked to his wife and children lying in a pool of blood.
Police and the forensic science laboratory team reached the crime scene and an investigation has been launched.
However, police said that they are investigating the case from all angles and it is too early to comment anything.
